 What is Microblading Eyebrows?

Simply put, microblading eyebrows is a form of cosmetic tattooing used to enhance your own eyebrows, or create eyebrows where you are lacking hair. Microblading eyebrows is one of the best and easiest things you can do for yourself to beautify your appearance! It is a quick and painless 2 hour appointment that increases your attractiveness for a beautiful look everyday. Clients LOVE it! Permanent makeup, also known as semi-permanent make-up, micro-pigmentation, or cosmetic tattooing is the practice of placing specially formulated pigments in the upper layers of the dermis/skin where it can remain for up to five years before fading away.

Although permanent makeup will fade away, it is considered permanent since the implanted pigment cannot be washed off and remains perfectly applied. Fading will occur and some or all of the entire colour will need to be reapplied. A colour boost should be applied every 12 to 18 months to ensure your make up remains fresh and properly defined.

Permanent makeup is well established and has been approved by the FDA, doctors and favourably reviewed by respected beauty authorities. A virtually limitless choice of colour of pigment can be chosen by mixing colours ensuring a perfectly natural or vibrant looking cosmetic effect is created. Here at Microblading By Brigette, we use only high-quality, cruelty-free, medically approved pigments to provide long-term colour stability and client peace of mind.

Microblading by Brigette is the best Microblading in Broken Arrow OK

Looking for the best Microblading in Broken Arrow OK? Welcome to Microblading by Brigette’s complete guide to Microblading in Broken Arrow OK.

Microblading is a procedure categorized under permanent makeup. However, unlike traditional cosmetic tattooing, it is less invasive and is considered semi-permanent. Microblading typically lasts 1-3 years, depending on skin type and skincare routine, so you are not committed forever.

The procedure is done using a hand tool with ultra-fine needles, and each ‘hair’ is gently etched into the skin, giving an incredibly natural and realistic look. Microblading is excellent for those wanting to enhance their brows or who have little to no eyebrows, thinning brows from age or over-tweezed brows.

Microblading implants customized, uniquely blended mineral inks into the upper layer of your skin to draw small, precise strokes that mimic the effect of real hairs. Microblading gives you subtle, stronger denser eyebrows that give your face new depth and dimension and make you look groomed even without makeup.

Many clients tell us that after their treatments are completed they go for stronger lipsticks, bolder eyeliner or they just do nothing and still feel “done.” Eyebrows are the ultimate frame to your face and microblading makes you a work of art.

Is Microblading Broken Arrow painful?

Ah, the most asked question about Microblading in Broken Arrow OK. Before the microblading begins, a topical numbing cream is applied to the area and topped up throughout the process. Some clients may feel slight discomfort, but the process is relatively painless. Depending on the client, the feeling of the procedure has been described as light cat scratches, very mild, light sunburn to not feeling anything. After the procedure, redness and slight swelling in the area are typical.

We recommend our Microblading Broken Arrow OK clients take Tylenol but not aspirin or ibuprofen. Microblading by Brigette provides a soothing cream and a barrier cream to use for a week afterwards to expedite the healing process.

How much does Microblading Broken Arrow OK cost?

Here are all of our Microblading Broken Arrow OK treatments and prices.

The longer answer is the average cost per procedure is usually around $600. Compared with many other cosmetic enhancements, for example, dermal fillers and Botox which require frequent and costly maintenance, permanent makeup is a comparatively low-cost option.

All our Microblading Broken Arrow OK prices include a full consultation, your microblading treatment, one follow up visit for a touch-up session, and topical, over the counter anesthetics to minimize the discomfort of the procedure. Anyone who does not offer this is below the standard of care in the industry.

When choosing your Microblading service in Broken Arrow OK we recommend you research any Microblading Broken Arrow OK treatment you are considering. Ask if you can speak to the microblading artist,  look at their portfolio. Is the facility clean and neat?  Do they show you singly packaged equipment with sterile markings on the bags? Do they have certificates of continuing education? All of these items are necessary for your successful Microblading treatment, and they all cost money. A professional microblading Broken Arrow OK service that is using proper sterilization and approved equipment cannot afford to be the lowest priced service.

Microblading by Brigette invests in sterile and sanitary business procedures and equipment, proper insurance and a safe, professional environment. We love talking to you about what microblading can do for you and are more than happy to show you our portfolio, our facilities, and certifications. A cheap microblading Broken Arrow OK service will not be able to say the same, or they would not be able to “give away” their services.

How is Microblading in Broken Arrow OK Applied?

First, we recommend a patch test for individuals who have high skin sensitivities or are sensitive to any of the following,

  • Topical makeup products
  • Gold, silver, and nickel
  • Hair dyes

We advise you during the consolation if a patch test is required. We carry out patch tests five to seven days before the scheduled appointment.

At your first treatment, we will spend about an hour drawing the shape of your new brows in soft wax, removable pencil. This mapping process is the longest and most crucial step. During this time, the best-customized form for every client is chosen. We create an eyebrow design based on your face shape and structure for the most natural finish and your preferred fullness. The shape of the brow is determined by taking six critical measurements on the brow bone using a specialized protractor made for this procedure. Throughout this process, you will be able to see what the end effect will look like in the mirror.

We mix your bespoke color in a tester pot to match the color to your existing brows and make the wow factor of the treatment virtually undetectable (your eyebrows will look amazing, but only you will know why). Once you are happy with the shape and color of the treatment SALON will clean the skin with an appropriate cleanser, apply a topical numbing cream to the area, and stencil with a sterilized eyebrow pencil.

How long does Microblading Broken Arrow OK take?

For the first Microblading session, the entire procedure should take about two and a half to three hours. During this treatment, we will shape and style your eyebrows to your desired look and go through pigment color selection. Once you are satisfied with the choices, we begin the procedure. We invite you back for your second session four to six weeks later for any minor necessary touch ups. This session will take approximately one and a half to two hours to complete.

How Long Does Microblading Last?

Since microblading does not implant pigments into the skin as deep as traditional tattoos, the treatment will naturally fade over time. Microblading typically lasts 1-3 years, depending on skin type (normal, oily, dry), age (youthful/mature). Skincare routine will also affect the lasting effect of the treatment. Patients who tan or use products with AHA or Glycolic Acid will see results fade faster as your skin will resurface sooner. We recommend refreshing your microbladed eyebrows with a touch up every 12-18 months.

How long does Microblading take to heal?

It takes approximately 7-14 days for the brows to heal over, and about one month for the color to fully set in. The eyebrow area will be slightly red after the procedure and color will appear very dark. This is normal and part of the healing process. The color will fade by up to 40{f75643d0ceaf8a713bff009b85c29d8e2bc60fa948a0770620105bf3fd19140e} as it heals.

In the days following your treatment, the eyebrows will continue to be dark, and you will notice slight scabbing. Do not pick at the scabs as this may damage the skin and the outcome of the microbladed area. You will see the color is very light right after the two weeks after healing; the skin will have an opaque milky looking quality to it. This is known as the milk skin and is common in tattooing. This is due to the tissue still healing from the inside out even though the surface of the skin is healed. True color will reveal itself once healed.

Do I need a Microblading Broken Arrow OK touch up session?

Yes. A touch-up session after 4-6 weeks is necessary as everyone heals differently and the outcome will vary. Specific areas may not pick up during the first session and will need refilling. Pigment color may need to be adjusted, brow thickness and more strokes can be added. Individuals with oily skin often require a deeper shade during the touch-up session as the oils tend to lighten the pigment. Most importantly, your touch up session is when we refine your brows to ensure it looks perfect and retains the color for the whole year.

How to prepare for a Microblading treatment

Leading up to your appointment, you should avoid plucking or waxing your brows because we make your new brow shape based on current measurements. Avoid using exfoliators 72 hours before the application, especially skincare products containing glycolic acid, retinol, and alpha hydroxy acids, since they may inflame the skin. If you take blood-thinning medication, please consult a doctor before making an appointment.

If you wear eyebrow pencil we ask you to wear your pencilled eyebrows to the consultation the way you would like them to appear after the cosmetic tattoo has healed. Alternatively, you can bring a pictorial representation of the preferred eyebrow design.

Microblading Pre-Treatment Requirements

  • Avoid alcohol and aspirin/ibuprofen and any vitamins that may thin your blood for 72 hours.
  • Avoid tanning so we can assess your natural skin tone.
  • No face scrubs or chemical peels at least two weeks prior.
  • Feel free to come in with their brow makeup so we can see your every day look you prefer.
  • Reference pictures of shapes and colors of brows are always welcomed. We will then work together to create the perfect brows!
